One day , many, years ago, when I first started practicing law, the younger attorneys in the firm met in a conference room to hear words of wisdom from the founder of the firm.He told us that the most important thing to remember in the practice of law was to always respond to a client within one day after a client called.

A mystery series can either be a trite disaster or be absorbing.  “The White Lotus” is an HBO series that is scintillating.  The second season of the show is set in a breathtaking resort on Sicily.  Similarly, to last year’s show, the mystery is set in the first episode.  

Has anyone been to Penn Station lately?   It is shaping up to be beautiful – bright, high ceilings and more.  But have you had occasion to get there early and want to sit to wait for your train?  Apparently, that is not in the cards.

Are you an adventurous eater? I, generally, am not. I largely won’t eat meat because I just don’t like it. I love raw carrots but I don’t like them cooked. I guess you can actually  call me a picky eater.   

As we approach Thanksgiving in the week that follows the one that starts today, I call attention to a special day that takes place the Tuesday AFTER Thanksgiving, this year, Tuesday November 29, 2022: GIVING TUESDAY.

Winter is just around the corner   I need to get the shovels ready, buy some ice melter and prep my snow thrower...or should I?      

Last week I blogged about (and in favor of year round) Daylight Saving Time and this week’s is about the difficulty adjusting to the recent time change.

The election is over. I was so looking forward to November 9th. Not necessarily because I was looking forward to the results of the vote, but because I couldn’t wait for the tv ads, mailings, emails and text messages to end.I found the emails and text messages to be particularly annoying. And, like a bad whatever, I couldn’t get rid of them. Unsubscribing didn't help.
