Have you fallen into this trap? You give a vendor your email address to receive a percentage off of your purchase? I have done so too many times to count. The email I typically give for those purposes is not one I use regularly.
Friday's blogger swims avidly.  It is something I've found little time for and wish to do more of.  When our niece and nephew asked us to watch her children -- Jake and Eden, we knew it would include taking them to their local Ramsey (New Jersey) Municipal Pool.  I found the facility so nice I want one (maybe several) in Queens and plan to chat with my borough president about (see layout pic at right) it.
Gummies? Legal weed?    Unfortunately not.  I'm referencing the kind that your body creates in your kidneys. Apparently it's more common then you might imagine.   I've been battling them for two weeks and I think they've finally passed me by. Quite a battle...and may I say I'm a bit battle weary :)   To prevent them, they tell me not to eat fish, poultry or meat. Reduce coffee and stay away from spinach and rhubarb but increase citrate which is a natural stone inhibitor.
This entry is a followup to last week's Friday With Fred blog "Preparation" (for my First Pitch at the Coney Island Cyclones game last Sunday).    Well, the journey is over and the truth is that the (pictured) Coney Island Cyclones ball was on line, but fell (just) short of its intended target :(   Shortfall yes, but not for want of trying or preparation!
We were sitting on the back deck of the ferry from Orient Point to New London.
Every morning I wake up to my cat, JuniperBerry, meowing. She needs to be fed.
Tomorrow morning my daughter starts school.  OK, it’s a PhD program so she’s had a first day of school for more years than I will count. But it still feels fresh.
How often do you rely on online reviews when making choices?   I have found that, if I am making purchases of clothing online, I tend to read the reviews to determine the proper size. Generally, however, I will stay with my usual size unless the reviews really stress that the item runs big or small.
