It is hot outside, really hot.  And I am a fan of cold, really cold.  Artificially cooled air that is, not the winter blustery kind.
Do you carry cash anymore?
It was a whirlwind of a week. Sunday afternoon I had an appointment at the Apple Store in Roosevelt Field to determine if my iPad which failed to charge Friday could be repaired; I replaced it with a newer model.
This gets filed under "What was he thinking" category.   A 40 year old man in Florida of all places tried to flee deputies on a riding lawn mower (not a joke Norm)   As the officers were trying to serve arrest warrants, they found him on the mower in a backyard. When they told him to stop and get on the ground, he tried to escape on the mower. Deputies chased him on foot before using a taser to stop him.
It seems to me that we are becoming comfortably lazy.  An example of which is that many now insist on working from home or prefer Zoom rather than in person meetings.  Say what you like, but question yourself.  Have I become comfortably lazy?
The other day I listened as a news commentator corrected information related in a prior broadcast.
James Caan, Ray Liotta, and Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) died recently.  They are gone but their film and television work will live on forever.  Caan in “The “Godfather”, Liotta in “Good Fellas” and Sirico in “The Sopranos” were unforgettable in three American classics.
Here was the discussion in my house – and hint, it split down generational lines.  Of course, when someone sends you a gift, a thank you note is called for.  It is just a small way to show appreciation for someone who took the time to think about you.
