“Jaws”, “Titanic”, “Batman”, and “Spiderman” etc. are what comes to mind when one thinks of a blockbuster.  The advertisers and chatter made you feel that you had to see “Star Wars” or “The Avengers”.
This weekend, I was visiting with my mom, and we were cleaning up some papers in her house.  We came across a copy of the recommendation that my daughter’s high school guidance counselor had written to accompany her college applications.  Let’s do the math – that was nearly ten years ago. [Let’s also look right past the age spots sprouting on my hands right now.]
A client recently commented on a coaster I had on my desk. It was an item my youngest daughter had made for in nursery school.  She was given a small tray and inserted small ceramic tiles in it, using some sort of paste.
Sometime after this commentary get posted to our Gotham Network's listserve, I compose a tweet and post it to twitter.  I do not like typos and unlike with Facebook, no current capability exists for twitter users to edit their tweets. Apparently, that may change.  Already the social media platform is testing an edit function with its employees and will soon allow small universe to users get in on the action thereafter.  I for one look forward to that capability.
A brilliant and influential man said:   "The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."--Nelson Mandela   Is it really conquering fear that is brave? I believe we (humans) all have fear as we should. Fear has helped us, as a race, survive through the years. So being afraid is important. However, if fear drives you, or prevents you from living life then let's be brave.
This blog is inspired by my good friend BingoJo Celi who originally conceived of the question “If you can have a Fantasy Super Power, what would it be?”Hers was being able to eat whatever she wanted without gaining weight.
Referrals are such an important part of networking. Recently, we have been very involved in both receiving and giving referrals.
As you know and feel, this summer has been extremely hot.  The heat has been consistent with few days below 85 let alone 90.  I am very lucky to have an escape that works so well and is so close and cheap ($35 for a Senior couple)
