Sometimes plans made do not fall into line exactly as you want it and later today, we’ll know how the weekend works out. Months ago the thoughts were to take in two shows with the likelihood of no MLB Wild Card weekend. That outcome did not play out and I was at shows rather than watching my baseball team. The hierarchy for me always put music at top but still I enjoy rooting for my baseball team that calls Citi Field home.

This story seemed unbelievable because why on earth would you smuggle snakes in your pants. It left me shaking my head...   Calvin Bautista, a 36 year old man from Queens, has been charged with smuggling three Burmese pythons in his pants at a U.S-Canadian border crossing.  

I was once a long distance runner and am proud to reveal that I finished 33 (my lucky number) marathons (26.2 miles).

I met him only once. We spent about an hour together. We were both in transition in our professional lives. We talked about our respective careers up until that point and where planning or fate might take us.He probably doesn’t remember our meeting. I doubt that I would have either…..

“Moonage Daydream,” a new documentary, takes an enthralling 140 minute look at the amazing career of David Bowie.  The doc by Brett Morgen, an Oscar winner, is creative, touching, outrageous and above all a musical testament to the incredible 50 year career of Bowie.  

I read an article the other day about that posed the following question – what is your favorite room in your home?   I thought about that question for days but really couldn’t decide.  I did narrow it down though to a three way tie.

I feel that, with Amazon and similar websites, we’re becoming people who expect instant gratification. Almost everything we want; we can get with one click.   

No secret that I enjoy attending shows.  Not many fit the troubadour  - unaccompanied solo artist - variety.  At the very least most artists enjoy the support of at least one accomplished sideman.  I probably saw John B.
