Yesterday morning the announcer on WNYC reminded listeners that it was the last day to apply for the 2023 New York City Marathon. As I heard the brief announcement, I was preparing for a deadline of my own — it was the day that we can reserve our timeshare for next year. Experience has taught me that availability quickly evaporates so it’s best to be ready to click the link at exactly 9 a.m.

I remember getting all dirty with newsprint.  I kept wipes in my bag so that when the train pulled into Penn Station I could clean away all evidence of newspaper.  

How much do you share on social media? I am very careful about what I share. As a divorce attorney it amazes me what I can find out about people by just looking at their Facebook page.  

Next weekend, Saturday to be exact, after several days of team members, prospects, and some just hoping to gain a spot on my favorite baseball team gather in Port St. Lucie, actual games -- the Spring training variety -- commence. That prospect certainly excites this correspondent. How can you not after viewing that commercial during the Superbowl (I actually caught it earlier than that!)?

Traveling to California to see my daughter and son in law, we took Delta from NY to San Francisco. When I booked the flight my choice of seats were limited. However when we pulled back from airport to take off, to my surprise, the plane was half empty (or was it half full :)   I guess the public is not flying to CA anymore? Did people change their minds at the last minute?   Then the flight attendant asked me if we were together. I said yes and she asked if we really wanted to sit together because there's plenty of room.   

What are your true feelings about Valentine's Day? I ask while Tuesday is still fresh in your mind.   Is it just some manufactured Hallmark Holiday or is it romantic nirvana? Over the arc of our marriage we have always exchanged Valentine's cards, except this year. We mutually agreed it had become a played out ritual.   Yet, as it happened, we had one of our very best Valentine's Days as we bought ourselves a present and enjoyed a wonderful dinner alone.

I had a doctor’s visit today.  All fine, just a regularly scheduled checkup.
