Do You Have the Time?

I always wear a watch. Putting on my watch in the morning is sort of like putting on my shoes. I couldn’t leave the house without either.

It doesn’t matter whether I’m going to run errands, head out to work or to dinner with friends. My watch is a staple part of my wardrobe.

I read a study recently about people who won't wear a watch socially. On a Saturday night when work is not top of mind and errands are long completed, they say, wearing a watch takes away some of the relaxation of being social.

I personally, don’t get that. Do you?

I'm left handed and wear my watch on left hand.

I get it. If a watch reminds you that you need to do something at a certain time then not wearing it can let you know that you are done with your responsibilities and you can just relax & enjoy the moment.

I wear a watch everyday as well. I do switch from my Samsung Smart Watch to a regular analog watch for weekend use. This way I am not disturbed by possible work emails over the weekend, unless i chose to go to my phone. It does psychologically change my attitude when the weekend comes yet allows me to pace my day off.

I wear a watch every day. Jerry never wears one and I have no idea how he does it. LOL

I'm very time-oriented. I've worn a watch practically since birth (slight exaggeration). I find that I check the time via watch, phone, or computer regularly. I wouldn't want to lose one of those three means of time-checks. When I'm in a social situation, I check time much less frequently, but it's reassuring to know that my watch and phone are essentially always with me.

I have always worn a watch. I hate to be late, and how else to ensure that I know how much time I have left to get somewhere? I wear it with the face facing in so I can peek at the time when I am interviewing someone. I always find I feel a person is being inpolite if they look at their watch while talking to me. This is the way I try to avoid the possiblility of me seeming to be inpolite.

I recently got an Apple Watch and I have to say I love it. Although I do miss wearing my “old” watches which felt much more like a personal statement or everyday jewelry. I found that i was using my phone to check time almost as much as my watch. But I do like the smart functions of the Apple Watch. Like Laurel said - it’s fun!

I always have a watch on. Except when I get weighted in at WW, it might add some weight. :) For those few minutes, I feel naked.

I too feel naked without my watch.Today, since have long sleeves, I'm wearing two! My Fitbit and my nice fancy dress watch. I like the look of a loose dress watch showing at my wrist, while the fitbit is hidden. Like David I use these, my cell & PC, plus a desk clock & wall clock to check the time often. Yes I'm a clock watcher...but not on weekends :)

A watch can be a fashion statement; even an Apple Watch of which my son enjoys several bands. I prefer my wrists band free.
