More Snow ?

I was so relieved when Nancy blogged last week about enough snow for this season. I figured that, with the well-respected Power of Gotham, we would be free of the white stuff for the rest of the winter.
I won't lose faith in the Power of Gotham. I must accept the fact that there are forces at work with the weather that even Gotham's might can't negate.
So, as I write this, we prepare for another snowfall and disruption of our usual routines. (Although dealing with the snow is becoming uncomfortably routine.)
How are you coping?

Interesting to be involved in the education world and follow all the comments and criticism of the decision to keep NYC schools open today. My opinion? We've got snow days to use and probably extremely low attendance today, so why the premature decision last night before one flake had fallen? Difficult to cancel schools when you've already taken a hardened stance...

So long as it's snowing and not sleeting or raining - I'm coping quite well. I love the fluffy stuff - especially when it keeps everyone else out of the city!

Before I read your comment, just reading the line in fred's list, I thought OMG - fredslist to find someone to shovel your room and rescue you from the leaks - how wonderful. So while Gotham magic cannot control the snow, I am confident if anyone posted a need for help in dealing with the snow (like roof shoveling, which unfortunately I have now mastered on my own (not being one to ask for help)), I know many would respond. That is the best magic of gotham - human connection. So, bring on the snow - we gotham members can deal with it here in the hinterlands.

The outside dining table on the deck had an accumulation of nearly two feet when I measured it yesterday afternoon.

After this past week, I have become an official fan of global warming!

A bit after the fact but the snow impacts where it cancels meetings, sometimes not bothering you because you might not want to endure the travel. Clearing the snow becomes the biggest nuisance but I try to tackle it sensibly and efficiently and make it part of my workout. It is much more fun when there are little ones in the house to make snowmen and snow forts. It has not occurred to me to build a snowman on my own.
