A Day

Sometimes I just need to take a day.

I had worked all week end, yesterday i went to the beach with my Wife. Wonderful.

And today, I just took the day to have a Completely Cayce Day.

Started with 8am meditation on the High Line. It is in all its glory and a life-filled place to get in touch with your truest, deepest self.

HighLine

Then breakfast at Bubby's. One of the few places this Georgia Woman can get great grits(and biscuits!).

After a little while sitting outside the Whitney, enjoying the breeze, watching the interesting people that frequent my borough and thinking about my next move, I decided to get my overdue haircut. It is always an enlivening experience.

Then a stop at Starbucks for a delicious grapefruit sprizter and on to the movies.

A perfect day for me.

I highly recommend taking a day and just be with yourself doing whatever pleases you.

I find it very healing.

Even "partial" days are a good thing.
Your mention of the High Line brings to mind Josh Zinder's upcoming tour to benefit Gotham's Foundation. I recall the Whitney spot. Shelly and I have sat there and enjoyed beverages around the corner. Certainly something to be said for an inner City boardwalk!
The trick remains how to work in those partials as you move about and work during the day without any impact on your output.

Yes, its been proven statistically that we are more productive when we take regular breaks. Partial is great, any time where we can just remember who we are...

There’s nothing quite like a day for self-Renewal. Or, as Corey says, even a partial time-out. I often walk in Central Park to my favorite hidden gardens, Strawberry Fields or Bethesda Fountain where I have been known to share a gondola ride with a crooning Gondolier. Visits to the High Line are right up there. And Josh’s tour enlivens any visit with sizzling history and fun facts. Thanks Cayce!

Indeed. This is what personal days are for in the corporate world. Perhaps such days can be legislated as a Hunan Right.

Nice to take a day to yourself. I think it's so important.

Yes, CP is a terrific place to remember who you really are.
