"It Happened So Fast!"
Do you know what I mean? Did it ever happen to you? Did something suddenly come out of nowhere unexpectedly and happen so fast?
It happened to me last week. I was driving along the Grand Central Parkway, in lane and observing the speed limit, when two cars came upon me weaving through the traffic as if in a careless contest or race. You’ve seen them and have to marvel at their elan and daring.
And then it happened, a third car in front of me changed lanes suddenly without signaling, upsetting their rhythm and dance. One racer swerved out of harm’s way, but too much so and roared on to the right shoulder of the road and, trying to correct, lost control and spun in front of me in a seemingly slow 360 degree circle across the traffic and slammed into a stanchion on the left coming to a dead stop.
It happened so fast!

You need to be aware of what around you; thus the risk of playing with the radio, fooling with e- devices in car, other moving entity or on foot.
article in today's Newsday maps out accident with fatalities 2012-2016 across LI. Speeding and / or alcohol a factor in many but not all so it supports my point above.
