Tomorrow
Like Don, we have been having a Father's Day Golf Outing for over the past 15 years. It started out as Me, My Dad, Norm and Austin. As the years rolled on Jake started attending and it felt good to have my Dad and my son with me.
Although my Dad passed almost three years ago I miss him. He was a gentle soul even though life was difficult for him growing up. I admired him and was very lucky to have spent a lot of time with him.
This year it's Jake and I. We start anew. A continuing tradition that changes through time but is constant. We'll go out early, have breakfast at a diner and then go to the course. There won't be any betting because Norm isn't playing so we will just enjoy each other's company driving around a beautiful course, swinging the club and hopefully hitting the ball every now and then.
For all the Dad's that read this, enjoy your Father's day! I will

Based on "grown up" Fred, I'd say his parents did an excellent job. Maybe fond memories aren't all they are cracked up to be.
I am grateful for the influence I had. Of course, I wish there had been more time. I certainly would have grown into a different person in a different environment. Much of my business and personal choices are based on what I learned from those three men. I am blessed.
