Nothing like live
Nothing like live music; especially good live shows.
Already this month, famous for the "Ides of ...." and how it "weathers," shapes up rather nicely.
On its second day, I enjoyed original Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh ("Bobby & Phil Duo") at Radio City.
On the "Ides", no assassinaton but rather a celebration of two great talents, both members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Traffic and Buffalo Springfield. As I tweeted that eve Dave Mason smoked and Richie Furay rocked (the NYCB Theatre at) Westbury. Listen to a great version of Richie's Poco classic, A Good Feelin' to Know, performed to close his show that eve. Hear Dave perform a cover of The Shadows, surf music instrumental, Apache.
And then last night. Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes at B.B. King Blues Club on "couples night"
And more shows on my "schedule" this month and of course, the Annual Gotham Battle of the Bands® at the legendary Cafe Wha? next month.
Any show you saw recently or plan to see that you wish to share?

I still love LIVE music, but its so more of an investment now. Best seats to see Alice Cooper at the Beacon, $210. I don't know how the "kids" can see live shows.
Different times, different access. I didnt take any pictures at those concerts with my phone...

They played a lot of cool stuff including Free Fall and Go For Baroque. At the end of the show I was handed the set list and a guitar pick. Can’t wait to go back there.
Next up is front row, back stage seats for U2 at The Coliseum on 6/9 but I’m sure something will pop up before !
