Two Screens?

Walking through offices, I've noticed them more and more. Two computer screens, where only one once stood, are adorning desks.

I am told that it is easier and more-efficient with two screens. One can check emails while still working on documents, spreadsheets, and other projects. Eliminate the annoying reminders and pop-ups on a single screen. Allows one to avoid bouncing back and forth between screenshots.

I'm happy with my single computer screen. I think I'd find the information on two screens simply overwhelming and a greater distraction.

How many screens do you have?

I have two at home, where I usually work, both 27 inches. They practically fill my desk side-to-side. :)

One on my desk, one on the floor, uninstalled, because I believe I would find it too distracting. Perhaps I have been mistaken. Maybe a program on all of this is in order? I hope everyone is staying safe today.

I resisted for years. Then, I got talked into it by my IT guy as well as a friend of mine. I installed a second 24" monitor screen about 4 or 5 years ago. You now would have to wring it from my hands, to get me to relinquish the second screen - I love it. One screen is mostly for email and documents, while the other is mostly for Internet, but they're readily flexible. No reason not to have 2, as I see it now.

If you count iPhone and iPad, four; and sometime when I connect via the Apple TV five. I like the larger external monitor to go with my laptop and have a second external monitor so I can connect to one outside when the weather permits. Using the big screen now as I type this comment on my laptop' keyboard!

My office manager hoisted two on me despite my resistance. And there was a lot of resistance. Now, several years later, I couldn't live without two. I find them very useful when drafting documents. I also find them very useful in attaching post-its to them for reminders for me. :)

Definitely two monitors in the office and home. So much easier to create emails and draft document.
