Every day you wake up is a GOOD DAY! Every bone you are thrown has some value. Every pat on the back (in Musha's case, head) is given with love or admiration, be grateful. Every day should end with appreciation of what you were given the grace to experience.   Woof Woof

Women have been on the frontlines of change, literally, forever.  Throughout history, women have dreamed of change and opened doors to opportunity.    Women fill our ranks as innovators, entrepreneurs, essential workers, heads of family and more.  

I joined Instagram several years ago when I wanted to see what my children were posting.  Initially, I only followed my children and my very close friends.   Over the years, I have slowly increased the people I follow. First it was news organizations, journalists, and political commentators that I enjoy reading. Then I added a few celebrities and chefs.  

No secret how proud Shelly and I are proud of our children (and our daughter in law too).  When we gathered last night for dinner I toasted Jonathan and Marisa for their recent achievement.

It may be the pendulum has swung too far. The words "Trigger Warning" now do the opposite of what they were intended for.   There is evidence that trigger warnings may harm the very population they intend to help. A Harvard study involving 451 trauma survivors, published in the journal Clinical Psychological Science in 2020, found that trigger warnings made people feel more anxious about the material in question by encouraging them to see their trauma “as more central to their life narrative.”  

My 16 year old grandson Shawn visited us last week and he let it be known that he was learning to play the guitar.   Amazingly, he was soon peppered with all sorts of offers of stringed instruments: ukuleles on up through acoustics to electric with amp. Even a steel guitar. Of course he jammed.   We did not plan it and just marveled at the burgeoning bountiful serendipity.
