and never give up!   When you are feeling like all is lost, look around.  There is invariable someone around you who is in a more precarious situation than you are.  There is always hope.  
I have always been a fan of a good nap.  In fact, I would be a proponent of communal napping spaces that could be rented or even borrowed for short times around the city.  
In the midst of the eerie smoke last week, it was nice to read a story about hope and survival.  
Yesterday ended very nice with an evening of music on the Village Green in Great Neck; we were there later than planned and caught the last two cover bands; the first covered some of the best of Bad Company and opened with Free's All Right Know (my all-time fave song) - one common thread is Free's drummer Sim
How ironic...this past week it was recommended that we wear N25 masks outside not inside. It wasn't too long ago that the recommendation was to wear them inside not outside.    Apart from the orange and smokey air which was eerie and fascinating, I hope this is not a foreshadow of things to come where we'll be wearing them all the time.

Did you ever wonder why we get certain cravings from one time or another? Sometimes we crave healthy food, other times its sweets and carbs. Sometimes we want the most expensive and lavish restaurants, other times it’s the comfort of a great diner or local pizza shop. What amazes me, is not what we crave, good or bad, but at some point, after eating it, we just don’t want any more for quite some time later. For me Sushi is one of those foods. If done right and sourced freshly, I can eat quite a bit and really enjoy it.
