The quotation, attributed to Winston Churchill, was tacked on the wall behind the desk.“However Beautiful the Strategy, you should Occasionally look at the Results.”As I gazed upon those words, other familiar words came to me and I considered… do the “Ends
As the Jamies sang in my youth:
It's summertime summertime sum sum summertime
It's Summertime!

In 1985, I bought my first car – a white Oldsmobile Omega. The car was a hand-me-down. It had been my dad’s and he was buying a new one. Literally, a new Omega. I had just moved home after law school and it seemed a good idea to have wheels. I remember the car made funny noises.
I have hazel eyes. My Mom, as mothers do, always told me that they made me special because hazel eyes are rare. Recently, I got curious and researched whether my eye color is truly rare. After looking it up, I think my Mom embellished the facts, just a bit
Apparently, violet and grey eyes are much rarer than mine. I remember that Liz Taylor was known for her violet eyes.
Last year going into Father’s Day, I got to attend a mix of concerts and was looking forward to dinner and a show at the City Winery. Today, instead we host our children and our grandniece and grandnephew (their parents have a wedding).
I was in a card store yesterday buying lotto and felt the sadness of not having to buy a Father's Day card. It's been over 12 years since he's passed.
Though standing there amongst the sea of cards, I felt grateful that I had the opportunity to develop a deep relationship with him. Because of his integrity, kindness, patience, and unconditional love I believe being a Dad is the best job anybody can have.
Happy Father's Day to every Dad.
So this week is the Yankees/Mets subway series. Its become a Gotham tradition and its one of the best night of the year! There is a lot of New York baseball tradition. Its sad when it comes to an end or there is an inevitable change. John Sterling has been the voice of the Yankees for 35 years. Years ago on TV and in recent years on AM Radio. He is now in his 80's, last year he stopped doing road games and this year his schedule has been even less as he has run into some heath concerns.
