Being Timely

Categories

I have one vice that I am emphatic about, I have to be everywhere on time. And, not only on time, generally I always arrive early. If I have a court appearance or meeting, I almost always show up at least fifteen minutes early. If we have a flight, I am usually sitting at the gate at least an hour early.

My family finds my insistence on leaving the house generally earlier than needed almost laughable.  Most times, however, they will placate me and leave when I ask. But they are usually making jokes along the way at my expense.  Always with love though.

I must be on time. It’s my thing. What about you?

I'm with you and a few times it saved the day!

My father had to be at the airport at least 3 hours early. He had an excuse: "It might be the last plane out." (He was an escapee from Germany. We also had to eat quickly. I have trouble 'investing' since I feel like I have to leave at any time.)

We leave super early for the airport as well. Our kids laugh at us, but it’s worth it to de-stress the experience!

I'm on the same schedule as you are. And I have several close friends, and one wife, who are on the other side of the fence regarding timeliness. It makes for "spirited discussion."
