My First Pedicure

Categories
Lifestyle

My feet have been supporting me (so far) to the 80 Mile Marker and, truth be told, they are worse for wear.

Rough going to say the least!

One day Joanne was going for a manicure/pedicure and being familiar with my feet asked if I’d like to come along and I was game.

We went to Amri Day Spa at 1204 Simonton Street in Key West and soon I found myself at a station next to her with my rough feet in softening hot water.

Our beauty school educated, licensed practitioners were Lori Von Meter and Daymi Ramos (pictured).

On balance, the pedicure was great, but greater still were Lori and Daymi.

Lori who revitalized my feet is from Indiana (she tolerated Bobby Knight as long as he won, could not tolerate Larry Bird and loved Tom Petty) and was a joy to interact with.

Daymi is from Cuba, called me Poppy and was equally engaging.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to a return engagement.

My feet feel younger :) We highly recommend
Amri and the staff.

Good for you being open to sticking your toes in the water and trying something new.

Back in our day it would have been helpful :)

Until the pandemic I had pedicures on a regular basis. Next time you go get a foot massage :0)

Very Weird - as I finally had my first pedicure - my wife has been after me for years to do so.
I always felt like Paul - no one touches my feet.
I have to say it was very pleasant - and then the discussion evolved at the nail salon - what color to polish my nails -
Always being open to new adventures -
and thinking this is National Autism Awareness Month and our office is wearing "blue" on Friday -
Hopefully you have seen a lot of blue in April as blue is the color of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) awareness.
So, why not go with blue toe nails (I will send FRED a photo of my blue toes as i do not know how to post them
which actually may be a good thing).
To new adventures...

Never had one and my wife has been pushing for quite some time. Perhaps you have inspired me to give it a try.

I love pedicures, much more so than manicures. I find them very relaxing.

LOVE pedicures! Especially if you add reflexology. However, the supplement Hyaluronic Acid will soften skin and eliminate calluses (no kidding), leaving you more time for massage and no need for the pumice or blade. So glad Joanne got you to go.
