Giving Thanks

Holidays

On this second day of the Thanksgiving weekend I would like to give thanks to all things Gotham.

In the true spirit of our "It's better to give than receive, but what goes around comes around" mantra, our Tribe has enjoyed a bountiful year.

In this our "Sweet 16" year we have grown geometrically to over 50 groups (stretching from Boston to South Florida) with more than 900 members.

During the year we have installed a new state-of-the-art website, produced our first Battle of the Bands and our initial High School Oratorical Contest, added thriving new Groups and instituted a number of theme-based list serves, e.g., Rock Rap.

The culmination of the year comes next Tuesday at our annual holiday party at which time we honor and celebrate all things Gotham.

I can't wait to learn the names of the 2013 Networkers of the Year, the recipient's of the four $5000 Summer of Giving Gotham Foundation grants and, most of all, the recipient of the Red Bandana Award given in recognition of selfless contribution in memory of Welles Remy Crowther.

As I said, it's been a fruitful year and we've accomplished a lot, but there's still so much more to do and together I know we can do it.

Happy holidays!

I am also thankful for all things Gotham. During my membership I have made new lifelong friends, received joy from helping members, received help myself and had a lot of fun and laughter along the way. See you at the holiday party!

I am likewise grateful for Gotham. All the wonderful friends I've made, the fun I've had and all the business our little company has landed with the help of my fellow Gothamites.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I often think what might have been missed by so many had Fred not been invited to that other networking meeting 16+ years ago, which sparked the genesis of Gotham. Perhaps it merely might have taken another year or so before something else lit the same spark. I'd like to think that Gotham was inevitable.

In gratitude for the opportunity to participate in a very special extended family of
kind-hearted, life-loving and friends and acquaintances. I feel like Alice in Wonderland who stepped thru the looking glass and forever experienced the world differently. I cannot imagine my life had I not walked into my first Diversity luncheon in 2002. Thank
you for the opportunity to meet s

We owe all good things Gotham to you Fred, ( and of course Nancy and the rest if the TC). You haven't just created a networking group with 900 members you have expanded and nurtured a family of unrelated individuals who abide by the mantra it's better to give then receive and what goes around comes around. I am also thankful for Steven Krane inviting me to the Bandit group 16 years ago. Here's to another 16!!!
