Where Have You Been this Summer?

We did not vacation at all this summer. It literally felt like one long, hot summer day.


I am not really complaining. If you know me at all, you have heard me talk about how much I enjoy chilling in my back yard. I actually enjoyed my outdoors this summer more than any summer before.


That said, I am starting to itch to do something, or at least plan something. Even a day trip.


Have you ventured out this summer Gotham? If so, would you share your destination and COVID safety quotient?

We went to the Sagamore, in Bolton Landing (Lake George) in late August. We also visited my sister and brother-in-law in Lancaster in early July.

We have been at our house upstate and I’m with you - it felt like a months long vacation. Now back to school in a big way!

I have been to CT, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester, Philadephia, and S. Florida! COVID 100% Safe! No tolls, no traffic, and no need to pack wipes. Grateful I could do all that "circuit riding" and that I live between Riverside and Central Park so I can run and walk in nature every day. That said, I am looking forward to visiting my kids ... SOON!

We have been to Florida back in late June/Early July, yes we flew. I can spend many paragraphs on safety protocol we did and what we saw. It was a nice trip and it felt good to get away. We just timed it weird when NY was doing well and Florida was just getting bad with Covid. I hear it is getting better down their now too (at least where we were in Cocoa Beach/ Merritt Island). We love to weekend and day trip to Hawley, PA.

Currently writing from Hoboken, where we are visiting/ watching our grandniece (more Shelly watching and me visiting). Also been to Brooklyn, Nassau, Rockland and Manhattan Blogs covered some of the details. Nothing overnight. Pre-pandemic plans including such.
