The Question

“What protocols are you following?”

It’s an appropriate question - especially now. When making an appointment or reservation, ask the question.

Where appropriate, most establishments have precautions in place, but I’ve seen that nothing should be taken for granted.

I am shocked to learn that some establishments where one might reasonably expect to see a sign “Masks Required” as well as other protections like encouraging social distancing, are not doing so.

There should be no surprises or mistaken assumptions when your health and safety are at risk.

If you’d be uncomfortable or feel unsafe or prefer not to expose yourself to risk, ask first....

What protocols are you following?

I had a new prospect ask me for a meeting in our office. Our firm is not yet doing house calls or in office meetings. I now have to figure this out.....ugh.

Wonderful advise although we really don't go out to places other than for curbside pickup and even that is rare. I have been extremely dismayed to see the number of people out and about without masks.

I'm with Fred! Well, not really with him but I have not really gone anywhere. I had my haircut outside with a mask on. I go running and walking with a mask unless I am off on a trail by myself. I have been in small groceries a few times but with a mask and distanced. I have not been in an office of any kind. Grateful I can do all of my business virtually, but the dentist's appointment is coming up. I will have to trust him. I let him put sharp objects in my mouth so I should be able to trust that he is going to protect us both.

Wearing a mask when going out. Have pocket sized sanitizer in my pocket. Have a box latex gloves in my car (never used). In my line of sales work, I do need to go when asked. So far only a few have asked me to come in live. Otherwise, we WebEx or Team and use of email and phone. I will not go anywhere without the sanitizer and mask.

Going to my office three days a week. Mask on everywhere in the building but my individual office. Hand washing and sanitizing always.

I adhere to NYS Guidelines and regs. Wearing a mask is important and I try to account for distance even if it introduces more time in some things I do.We have extra masks and sanitizer in our cars and I carry some as well.

Social distance, masks, outdoor restaurant tables only, don't share elevators, don't take public transportation - mostly walk, wipe dog's paws after dog walk (he doesn't wear a mask), lots of hand washing (good-by fingernails), immune building supplements.
