Underneath all of the intellectual attempts to civilize people and produce impressive technological advancements, we are reminded of our human biology. For millions of years, the basic fundamental connection humans share, is to support and defend the survivorship of the tribe, even humankind. The ethos echoed in certain circles include the intangible assets of courage, loyalty, spirit, persistence, and contribution. When faced with the question of describing your purpose and meaning, one must feel necessary to the group, otherwise, why are you there? Gotham is our tribe. We collectively join together for a defined purpose, with values clearly stated in our preamble, artfully constructed by our founding fathers and mothers.
