Jefferson Crowther is the father of American Hero, Welles Remy Crowther, the legendary 24 year old "Man in the Red Bandanna", and the son of Bosley Crowther, renowned film critic for the New York Times from 1940 until 1967. That's a lot of greatness to be sandwiched between, and yet, in his way, Jefferson is the greatest Crowther of all.  I say that because I know Jefferson up close and personal: to know Jefferson is to be with an extraordinary sensitive, cultured, mannered, emotional and kind man.
Except, perhaps, for walking and chewing, you really can't do two things at the same time. I was at a conference on health care. Two days of presentations. Lawyers sitting behind long rows of narrow tables. Several laptops and many, many smartphones resting on the tablecloths that covered the tables. My phone found its way to the space in front of me. Although I turned off the ringer, the light of alerts often caught my eye.
Gotham is abundant with wonderful, meaningful opportunities. Yesterday, the Gotham Book Club® hosted Tom Rinaldi, author of The Red Bandanna.
  A game changer, really.
I had one of those horrible days at work this week. A client had an angry and emotional breakdown in the halls of the courthouse. Her breakdown had nothing to do with the results we were getting in court--in fact, we had just gotten a highly favorable recommendation from the judge--it was just a function of who she is.
Gotham City Networking, Inc.®’s co-founder calls our Gotham Green® group, The Change The World Group. Easy to adopt that description. I often talk about the need to make a difference and as this month began – literally – on December 1, 2016, Gotham Green® announced the recipients of our Gotham Green Awards®.
Kentucky Fried Chicken of New Zealand is offering their really loyal customers the chance to win a strange piece of merchandise: a scented candle. Not just any candle though. The iconic fried chicken joint posted to their FB page a fried chicken-scented candle bearing the image of the chain's Colonel Sanders logo.   This is not the first time KFC offered unusual merchandise. They have produced chicken-scented sunscreen, nail polish designed to taste like fried chicken, and a cellphone charging station built into a KFC box.
This is to thank all of you who contributed to Gotham's annual Season of Giving.  To be more precise, tax deductible contributions were made by many of you to Gotham's Foundation and totaled $20,000 this year.
