Many years ago, as I was packing the car after a nice vacation for the trip home, I shared my feelings about leaving our idyllic vacation spot with a fellow guest. “If you don’t leave, you can never come back.”
Many of us, in the Gotham Community, are attending the historic 20th Year Anniversary Game of 9/11 between the Mets and Yankees this Saturday.  Baseball has held a special place in American History.  It has been a source of camaraderie, literature, art, and fierce fan passion.
Welcome! To Gotham’s new website!   Hoping you all enjoyed a wonderful long Labor Day weekend.   To start off your fall season, we invite you to take a tour of our new site.
My husband and I are different. After seventeen years of marriage, I first noticed this while binge watching with him “The Man in the High Castle.” I am transfixed by this show and could watch, at least, four episodes at a time. While he likes the show and is also gripped by the story, two episodes at a time is his maximum.
It's been awhile since I've slept with the windows open. I love sleeping in the cold, fresh air :)
Some things are tolerable and some things are intolerable. Where do we draw the line?
It had been two years since our last visit to Martha’s Vineyard and many things had changed. Places that we had frequented over our many annual visits had closed. And I thought about the last time we had been to those places. It is humbling that you really don’t know the last time you will be somewhere.
The Tournament starts this week and after a fan-free 2020 event, the crowds will be back in Flushing Meadow.  Happily, the final decision to make it a vaccinated event, since the stadium now has a roof, should make for a more relaxed environment.
