My Treat to Myself

I love having the Sunday Times delivered to my home. I look forward to reading the magazine on Saturday afternoons along with the Real Estate section. The Real Estate section is one of my favorite parts because I love reading about Manhattan real estate.

I have my methods to reading. On Saturday, it’s always Real Estate first, followed by the Travel section and Arts and Leisure and finishing up with the magazine. My Sunday routine is similar, I begin with the Style section and end with the main section.

My children-with their tablets and phones-watch my struggles to properly fold the Times in awe. They have questioned me, more than once, as to why I just don’t read it electronically. I laugh and tell them that properly folding the Times is part of the fun.

Are you a New York Times fan?

I never read the Real estate section. Book Review is my favorite

Every day. On weekends I start with the first section, then Book Review, sports, metropolitan on Saturday, Travel and then Arts and Leisure, and Style on Sunday.

I have a blog on the NY Times that I would love to share. My series is called Growing up With a Fat Dad. I write about my adventures with a 450 pound ad man father --responsible for such iconic slogans such as “Fly the Friendly Skies” and “Leggo My Eggo” and my journey to becoming a nutritionist. Included in my stories is many traditional recipes with a healthy twist. i would love if you would check my series out.

Every day. Usually Arts & Leisure first on Sat. Back in the day, it gave me early notice of concert sales.

I appreciate the newspaper, especially the incomparable NYTimes, my Dad was Associate Editor of the Atlanta Journal for many many years, but its my sweetheart who reads it everyday and makes us search for it wherever we travel.
