Anchovies

Even the most gastronomically adventurous among us dislikes something.

I consider myself very middle of the road when it comes to food. Don’t get me wrong, I have been heard to say many times “It’s all about the food” (Remember the golf invitation this year?). But I am not particularly adventurous. Compared to other members of my family, however, I am an absolute food explorer.

I was thinking recently about what food I dislike so much that I would literally walk away from the table. The answer, anchovies. If I order a caesar salad and it arrives with those grey, slimy slivers across the top, my meal is finished.

What is your most disliked food?

Hah, I'm with Fred. I think it came with the territory growing up. You don't like it--don't eat. I don't like NOT eating :)

My family would all know the answer to this one for me. I love raw carrots. I eat raw baby carrots right out of the bag by the handful. But, I hate cooked carrots. If a carrot is a little warm or soft, I won't go near it.

By the way, I love anchovies.

What would pizza be like without anchovies. My dislike would be mayonnaise.

Creamsicles - they were intro'd to me in day camp back in the day. Never made sense to me.

I'm with Nancy, I don't like anchovies. I also won't eat brussels sprouts or strawberries; but the later is because I'm highly allergic.

Given the fact that I am a pescatarian I can't actually say I eat and like everything, but within my wheelhouse I do. I really like food so there is little I won't try.

I was once offered baked ants-- the thought of which was repulsive.
