Another strange but true tale of people going to any lengths to charge their phones.

In central New Jersey Police say a man sneaked into a home and hid under a bed in a spare room for three days before the homeowner realized what had happened.

Spotswood police say Jason Hubbard was charged with theft of services because he was charging his four cellphones in an electrical outlet under the bed. They are not sure why it took three days to charge.

Authorities say Hubbard entered the home May 7, when the homeowner took out the garbage. He stayed in the spare bedroom until the homeowner heard a noise in the room and spotted Hubbard. Maybe they heard him making calls.

I heard about that story. I'll never forget how, after Sandy, people were so desperate to charge their phones. My husband's office had power and he let his patients use his outlets to charge. There were lines out the door.

I can't believe it took the homeowner so long to realize someone was in the house. He must not snore loudly or need use the bathroom on a regular basis.
