State of mind
Is a vacation about a place or is it really a state of mind?
Today marks the end of a week's vacation (well almost...it was 6 days). My first in about 7 years. I'm fortunate to have gone away at all considering the last couple of months and I'm very grateful to those individuals who have made this possible (you know who you are:)
To "get away" and remove yourself from your daily routine could be considered vacation so in essence you could stay in place and be on vacation (apparently called staycation). However going somwhere else that is running at a slower pace, filled with eccentricities, great people and food can be intoxicating.
It's going to be hard to leave but alas my doctors will miss me.

Interesting question on "place"v "state of mind" and I often muse how one's relative means and life choice impact that.
For example I offer tKe the wheel as the driver; it certainly limits how much you can take in sights. When not driving and not a "TW" I often act as the tourist reveling in what I can absorb in sights and sounds.
And I make a case the tourist thing involves work.
As many know I argue my time on the basketball courts even with the arguments on calls or attend a rock concert serve a mini vacations for a least this correspondent. Ditto weekends at the "pool".
Even responding to or drafting a guest blog (subtle hint HHDB) can be a vacation of the moment.
Enough for now. Back to work (or play) I go....
