Recovery

I've been very active most of my life and have suffered fractures, ligament issues, hyperextensions, bruises, sprains, etc. I've usually bounced back from these injuries in a relatively short time feeding my body with the right nutrients and careful excercise that have always brought me back to 100%.

This time it's quite different. It's reeeaallly slow and when I push my body a bit it tells me loud and clear "What the hell are you doing?!? Lie down and take a nap...NOW!"

A bonus to this recovery is I'm really good at napping. Wasn't before but now I'm a champ. I can nap almost anywhere...

Do you nap?

Unfortunately, I never mastered the art of napping. It would be nice to be able to take a nap and wake up refreshed. Hope you feel better soon!

You should take some time off and vacation in Florida.

I think I won a napping competition a few years back. Let me know if you need any pointers.

I love a good nap. I have been known to put a document on my desk, shield my eyes as if I'm looking straight down at it, and grab a five minute power nap. It always rejuvenates me. But that's between you and me and the rest of the blogosphere.

I wish I could cultivate the skill of intentional napping. However, I find I can excel at unintentional napping i.e. watching movies, reading a book.

I'm an expert at napping. Read my blog post on "The Art of Napping." http://blog.comedyfacelift.com/2015/04/the-art-of-napping/

Intentionally napping is not something I learned to do and now I don't really want to take the time. Under duress I did learn to sleep standing up - not something I want to revisit. My guess is that when you are totally recovered, napping will be a thing of the past. Either way, I hope a full recovery - including naps or not - is on the way!

These are the funniest blog & comments I've read in a long time! Thank you, Mitch, and I hope you are feeling up to taking a daily nap at a time you choose.
