So the actors of The Big Bang Theory won their negotiation and got their $1M per episode.  More power to them. they do a great job and the show is brilliant.  The truly stunning part was finding out who was trhe highest paid TV personality!

Would you believe that Judge Judy makes $47M per year for her assault on the senses.  My wife and I have argued about this before, and obviously she is not the only one who likes her.

I find her to be an obnoxious...well since we are awash in the fabricated 'War on Women,' I'll give in to political correctness and stop right there.  Let's just say she gets paid a heck of a lot of money for being obnoxious on TV every day.

Are you a Judge Judy fan?

I pitched for the Friars softball team and Dr. Judy caught me and was very nice. I had no idea who she was. Maybe she's related to the Judge. :)

Free market, baby!

Perhaps I should throw in that I could imagine how much of her on-screen persona could be part of the act, what annoys me is that it is the act that so many find so appealing.

My mom loved her. She would call me to get my opinions on her legal rulings. Of course, I was always wrong and Judge Judy was always right.

I agree with Vik. She gets paid based on what she negotiated and if her network is willing to pay her that, it must be because she generates way more than that for them. More power to her!

My wife and I similarly disagree on the value of watching Judge Judy as a way to spend time. I find JJ mostly mildly annoying, whereas my wife finds the show quite entertaining. Obviously so do many other people whose viewership pays JJ's exorbitant salary.

Do not watch either show but people should get what they can and I only help they share it appropriately.
