What Type of Person Are You?

Categories
Food Blogs

With all the unhappy events that are in the news recently, I wanted to take a moment to write a short blog about a fun topic. And, of course, one that’s summer appropriate. So, here’s the question:

Ice cream; are you a vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry person? And, of course the follow-up question, soft serve or hard ice cream?

I am a vanilla soft serve person with sprinkles. For me, there’s nothing better than a vanilla Carvel cone (or, better yet, a Marvel cone for us south shore people).

And you?

Vanilla Dairy Queen with chocolate sprinkles!

Nothing with colors. Only chocolate or coffee, or something with chips or nuts. Add hot fudge and wet walnuts and it is perfect.

I introduced my wife to the greatest sundae combination in history! She mocked me before she tried it, but it now a slave to it's majesty.

Friendly's mint chocolate chip ice cream with extra vanilla syrup, caramel topping, whipped cream colored sprinkles and a cherry. She starts, then I finish as usually it's at it's peak consistency about 10-15 minutes in after the hard ice cream has melted somewhat.

Yes there is a strategy for everything in my world.

Haagen Daz Swiss Almond Vanilla. If soft, Dairy Queen dipped in chocolate shell.

Both my youngest son and I cannot tolerate ice cream. Not lactose intolerence just belly aches....so we share a fondness of oatmeal cookies and he is the one that get's to have the slim figure. The rest of the family are all chocoholics.

Chocolate, rich and creamy. I am fond of gellato and Carvel bears some similarities but not quite as rich.

Always soft vanilla and once in a while I'll wonder elsewhere, but somehow I always come back.

I love ice cream. I will enjoy it any way it is served. Variety, so I don't get bored.

If I'm limited to those choices, I'll go with hard vanilla in a sugar cone with chocolate sprinkles. As a kid, it was Carvel all the way. As an adult, it's frozen yogurt - Peachwave or Pinkberry - unless on vacation. Hard to justify all that fat and all those calories!
