Beer

We are up at Syracuse for Emily's graduation. And I am thinking about beer.

Benjamin Franklin is attributed to saying that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.  It is questionable whether he really said that, but no other drink is as refreshing in the warm months like a nice cold one.

The best beer I ever had was a pilsner in Prague.  I am not even sure what a pilsner is, but they sure are good.

I will raise my beer today to a happy Mother's Day to all.

I had a lot of beers there at The Orange on Marshall Street. Is it still flowing there?

Good morning Don. Ask Emily about Chucks Cafe, I had many good times there visiting friends in 'cuse.

If you want to learn more or everything about beer, reach out to Sarah Annese and Giancarlo Annese. They wrote the book on it!

Whiskey last week, beer this week, am I sensing a May theme?

The best beer I have ever had is a micro-micro brewer, my neighbor and friend, Bruce Welles's. He's won countless contests, and puts the Dutch, Czechs and Germans to shame. Even grows his own hops, which grow up the side of his house.

When I was at the airport in Munich for my first trip to Germany the only thing I was carrying was a 6 pack....that was when you could...

I prefer ale but need a hot Sat afternoon of playing ball and perhaps some yard work to justify my brew.
