Coffee, Tea, or ??

Categories

It’s Sunday morning and my eyes are barely open as I sit down to write this blog. I look to the large mug of coffee sitting in front of me for inspiration. My mug is filled with coffee, flavored with chicory, purchased from the Café du Monde over the internet (the topic of a different blog), with fat-free half and half and two Splendas.

As I sip from my steaming mug, my inspiration flows. There are three types of people in this world, those that drink coffee, those that drink tea, and those that drink something else.

Which  one are you? And how do you take it?

I drink coffee black, espresso with an additive and, lately in the office, green tea straight up.

Coffee, first thing in the morning. Strong. With hazelnut creamer. Only drink tea when I am sick.

Coffee, coffee, coffee...anytime, anywhere with just whole milk;
And sometimes I need a small cup before going to sleep....zzzzz

I tend to be immune to caffeine, so I don't drink habitually. That said, I enjoy the flavor of an occasional cup of black strong coffee or espresso, or green tea or English Breakfast Tea. But I prefer a good red wine over coffee or tea, any day (just not in the a.m.).

Don't like coffee much, only in emergencies, then usually laden with "additives" ;)

My Best coffee ever is in Paris at Paul's. Cafe Noir. Listening to melodic French voices...

And I like my warm beverages very much. I prefer coffee some (light, sweet and flavored) but a flavored tea goes a long way. The warm beverage is a regular part of my day and then part of our family time in the evening.

When some people drink coffee they can't sleep. With me it's the opposite. When I'm sleeping I can't drink coffee

Definitely coffee! If it isn't genetic, it was definitely learned. I remember my Mom making us cafe con leche when we were little. It may seem strange (now) but believe me it was a lot less strong than the Cuban coffee we drank when we were old enough to have it. :)

I drink coffee; I brew hazelnut at home; most times with 1/2 & 1/2 but occasionally black. Dining out there are espresso (Sometimes with Franjelica) and cappuccino dalliances. I do like tea some eves, sometimes with honey especially on a cold night. And some eves I may go of hot chocolate because the mood might so dictate.
