I do it a lot—maybe more than I should. Do you? Whether it’s analyzing my golf swing, reviewing client interactions, or reflecting on personal relationships, I often find myself looking back with gratitude. But often, I’m my own worst critic, replaying moments and wondering what I could have done better which keeps me up at night.

Self-reflection comes in many forms—journaling (like Fred:), meditation, or simply thinking things through. I meditate occasionally, but not while driving! Most of the time, though, I just get lost in my own thoughts, quietly analyzing the world around me.

The good side of self-reflection is that it helps us better understand our values, beliefs, and what truly drives us. The bad side causes a lack of sleep.

We all should strive to be our own Best Critic.
During your "Think Time" you can practice reflecting on all your good qualities, occasions when you helped someone with a problem, the surprised smile when you held a door for someone with packages in their hands, the way that babies smile back when you say hello to them, and more.
Accentuate the Positive and Eliminate the Negative!
And get more sleep...
