Coffee, Tea or Cold Showers

Coffee, Tea or Cold Showers

There are myriad ways to start the day  – for some it’s coffee, tea or even soda for a jolt of caffeine.

Others enjoy a cold shower or ice bath. I’ve tried the icy shower – no joy found in that first thing in the morning.

How I begin my day sets the tone for the rest of it. A slow, unfocused morning usually leads to an unproductive day. So I want to get off to an energized and focused start.

I begin with some deep breathing and a dose of gratitude before my feet hit the floor. Then off to the kitchen for my fuel – for 20 years I’ve enjoyed Juiceplus in the morning with a large glass of water.

If I am not going for a run or to the gym because I have an early meeting, I take 10-12 minutes, put on music - Motown, Pink or lately it’s been the theme from “The Greatest Showman” by Keala Settle; I put a smile on my face and dance. Yes, like nobody is looking! It’s fun and energizing.

Eventually, I get that cup of coffee and breakfast and am ready to get things done.

Do you have a morning ritual?

Read my emails, not work at first. Spend time with our pup playing and maybe catch a You Tube video or two. Lastly my coffee which means its time to work

I don't plank any more ... stopped after a wrist injury ( fell in the woods and nobody heard the noise) and forgot all about them. Good time to start not that you reminded me.
