Lucky Man

After spending most of yesterday in my office arranging files for storage, I aimed back towards the garage where I had parked, taking in the mild spring-like weather.  I decided to avoid the crowds and tourists on 42nd Street, and instead walked casually down 43rd St where there were few people, towards Ninth Avenue.  I had a productive day, was looking forward to a nap, and then the Badgers game.

An older man was slowing walking towards me.  He had beard and a turban and was nicely dresssed.  As we met, he looked at me and said very softly, "hello, lucky man."

We both kept moving in our separate directions.  What could he have meant?

Lucky to be walking freely on a safe American street.

Were you wearing your wedding ring or was Eve with you?

Sorry about the Badgers game.

You must've given off a certain persona that sent good vibes to others who came into contact with, no matter their limited or lack of connection with you. Those days just exist and just demonstrates going out in the world even just for a little while makes an impact.

So maybe, in his head, he was planning on attacking the next man he saw or hitting him up for something. Than he saw you and changed his mind and you became "lucky man"
(I just finished watching Hannibal on TV...and too much Criminal Minds...sorry_

Was that a false start on story week?
