Two Cell Phones?

It was in the personal section of yesterday's Wall Street Journal -- carrying two cell phones.
For me, it started rather innocently. When Flo upgraded to a newer iPhone, her iPhone became available. I have always had a Blackberry (perhaps the subject of a another blog) which had increasingly become more of an office number. Our grandson had just been born and the notion of a better camera on my phone was appealing. I also had an envious admiration for how the iPhone seemed to work better for Internet access, maps, and other apps.
So I put a new phone number and data plan on the hand-me-down iPhone.
Very few people have my “private” number and I have only twelve contacts on the phone. On the other hand, my Blackberry is all business.
I've gotten used to carrying two phones. I have even left my Blackberry behind for short periods of time on weekends.
Is there a second cell phone in your future?

We have two land lines, I have two cell phones (one a blackberry like you) and I also have an ipad and two kindles!! Sometimes I think it is time to streamline the electronics!

We have two landlines. Unlike you, I generally do not give my cell phone number to clients. I have learned better.

We have done away with our land line completely

One iPhone, One email (well sort of, but the gmail goes to the "main" email and the AOL has permanent away message on it to send to my main email). There may be an iPad in the future. We enjoy (endure?) two landlines. My office line when I worked for all of us was known as the "Marriage Preservation Line" -- the other line is "Shelly's line." I do not give it out. Not discussed by Ben the nice iPhone feature that allows iMessaging proves very convenient and allows my Mac to be phone-lines. FaceTime also creates that feature.
If I ever do away with the landline -- doubtful since I prefer the redundancy, I will take that # since its association with me stretches (way) back in time.

We also have two land lines. One is the "legacy" phone number and the other is for the alarm. We also have an intercom system from 1997 (which still works just fine) through the phones and of course five iPhones (two for us and three for the kids). I must admit that I don't use the land line very much anymore, except for international calling.

My cousin is moving from her house in Westchester to the City and was surprised that she can take her 914 area code with her.
