Tunes to enjoy this holiday season

Gotham Green Award®, Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, Festivus,

Each Thanksgiving I check to see when I blogged the prior year about music for the holiday season.  That we often begin to hear that music when families gather the last Thursday in November is what brings my Holiday Music Playlist to mind.  The only thing that delays that blog is the need to timely report  this year’s Gotham Green Award® winners announced annually the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. One year I’ll recall I just need to post the Gotham Green Award® recipients.  That said, it’s time to share the list of holiday music that grew this year to 123 songs on YouTube and 86 tunes on Apple Music.

You can scroll this list to view what you might wish to sample (Easily find songs for Chanukah, Kwanza and even one for Festivus.) or just play the entire set in either Apple Music or the longer YouTube.  Unlike other playlists I curate, this one covers musical genres not included in those lists.  As in the past your may propose songs to add to help make it eclectic (but please also share a working YourTube link.)

It starts and ends with two late icons.  John Lennon kicks it off; Laura Nyro sings it to conclusion.

Enjoy the full set of tunes or just listen to those that work for you.

Happy Holidays!
