Go Vote!

We did on Sunday.  Early voting in New York has made it so much more convenient to get out and vote. This year in my town, they added more locations to make it even easier.

We stuck to our standard early voting location and waited on line for a while.  The line wasn’t really a surprise.  We had planned for the wait but that gave us the chance to talk to meet some new neighbors.

The sun was shining, neighbors were pleasantly conversing and the line moved fast.

We both left with stickers.  I like those stickers.

Your turn.  Go vote.

Being a traditionalist, I/we will vote next Tuesday.

I voted by mail since we will be out of the country. It's so simple that way. I have to admit that it will be weird to be out of the country on Election and six hours ahead in time. We won't know anything until the next day. Although I truly believe the election won't be resolved until some time after Election Day.

I'll be an early voter too. So much more convenient. Wish early voting was an option all those years that I commuted to NYC and ran out at 6am to vote before heading to the train.

Yes!!! Or ran home in time to vote at the end of the day. I remember taking the kids when we were little into the voting booths and pulling the lever.

Because I will be traveling on Election Day, and because I expected long lines, I voted on Saturday. Being the first day of early voting I was thrilled to have no wait since went late afternoon, close to closing time. NYC set a record of 140,145 voters on the first day of early voting, nearly 50K more than the first early voting day in 2020! Like Rona, I believe we'll know the final outcome several days later. Great to see all here voting and exercising this great privilege.
