I’m a Mets fan and I’m disappointed that they are not playing the Yankees in the World Series.
I’ll root for the Yankees against the Dodgers.
Although I’m a Mets fan, somehow - I’m not sure how - I’ve collected a few Yankees hats.
I’ll root for the Yankees but I don’t think I’ll be wearing a Yankees hat.

Good stuff Ben! I used to hate the Mets back in the day when they had Keith Hernandez smoking cigarettes in the dugout with Wally Backman and Dykstra etc. My Yankees were not good during most of that time. My relationship changed when my client and friend Tony A's son Joe (the chunky Italian kid) became the Mets batboy on the first base line. He's now in management in their front office and I find myself rooting for the Mets when not playing the Yankees. I too have accumulated a Mets hat and Alonso "Polar Bear" jersey (giveaway days, would not buy Mets gear) , neither of which I have ever worn and probably never will.
