An Alarm Reaction

When my alarm rings off in the morning, I stir.   I am not a quick riser.  I need multiple taps of the snooze button before it is time to really get the day started.  Even then, I like my slow move, spending a little time reading, catching up on news, legal and otherwise – and admittedly, a little social media tour.

When it is time to actually get moving, I’m ready.  It is time to take on the day and all that comes with it – as long as I’ve had the luxury of my slow rise.

How does your day start?

My wife gets up earlier than I need to. Her alarm is my back up. I am usually up on my own by 5:00 AM. But on those times, I want to sleep more, her alarm will do it and then I am really up. No snooze. It's not healthy and is more disruptive to your day in the long run.

Most days it starts before the alarm goes off thanks to the dogs. Then, it's good morning texts to my kids and a check of overnight email, news headlines and late night sports scores/news. Next, the Wordle and by that time, I need to hustle up and get moving.
