Puppies

I am enamored by the word Puppy (and puppies too)! It is such a positive, loving, warm word, as in "Puppy Love" and all things sweet and adorable ❤️

By strict definition a Puppy is a young (less than 1 year) dog. Yet in my mind our Charcoal (an 11 year old Schnoodle pictured) is still a puppy and, yes, I am still in puppy love with her. She is sweet, adorable and smart too.

If you ever met her you would agree.

I do agree and totally understand. Our Snowball was the same. A beautiful soul, companion and purveyor of yourh.

I know how you feel. Pets hold a very special place in our hearts regardless of age like our children.

Madison has been after me about a dog, we’ll puppy-sit if you ever need it!

I know how much you love Charcoal. And I also know how special a relationship is with an animal if you’re lucky enough to have one.

Charcoal is such a great puppy!

Incidentally, kitty is also an endearing term. We always call our cats kitty, no matter the age. When we walk in the door, we announce “Kitties!“ And they come running.

After our vet gave me my first black Standard Poodle puppy, I had a succession of them. I called each off them the same name and loved them dearly. Living with a dog one bonds with is one of life’s great pleasures

I remember when you told me your wife wanted a puppy.... did you ever suspect you would become so besotted with the wonderful furry ball of love?

Love it. It’s a feel good word for sure. And charcoal will always be a puppy!!
