The Deal

We are skiing out west this week, a sport exhausting and exhilarating.  The key is to limit the exhausting part.  For this Eve and I have a deal.

I carry her skis for her when we start and finish the day and after lunch and hot chocolate breaks.  And she picks out my clothes each morning and night and has them all ready for me on the bed.

This may not seem like much.  But I think I have the better deal.  I am already carrying my skis, so what's the big deal dragging along another pair.   And I have to make less decisions letting her chose what I will wear and don't have to rifle through our suitcases to find anything.

She thinks she has the better deal.  Skis are awkward to carry, and it is even more tiring when you are wearing clunky ski boots and walking up a hill.

We have found a win-win.

A win-win deal is the best kind! Enjoy your ski trip.

Our deal when we go skiing is that I get a guilt free shopping day at the outlets near the ski resort. What's Eve's number? She may want me to renegotiate her deal. :) Have a great trip!!!

Skiing involves three things that I actively dislike: Cold, danger and the expenditure of vast sums of money.

whatever works I always say. Probably not a bad place to be right now. Snow where it makes sense.
