Silver, or the more-conventional grey, personally I am thankful that those genes came from the side of my family with hair. However, I question the presumption that men can't have enough. Styles are such everyone seems to find their "look", and it is not necessarily driven by whether they naturally have, or don't have, hair.

Ben after each child my hair fell out and I was bald wearing a wig. People thought I was a religious Jewish woman. It fell again in my late 30's I'm guessing that it was caused nutritionally. Now as a baby boomer... mind you the last of them turn 50 this year... I want to hold on to what I worked so hard to have. Not easy mind you. Not easy.

Its common knowledge that hair loss is part of the evolutionary process. We are "hairless apes" because our larger brains and walking/running upright required that we regulate our body temperatures more efficiently. We produced more eccrine glands, lost our hair and sweat more effectively. In a million years we all will be hairless.

I generally don't flaunt my lack of hair, big brain and advanced evolutionary status, but you asked... ;)

In your case, Fred, it might have something to do with your puppy Charcoal and her silver & black hair. Put you two together and you almost look like twins. Woof!

I've been very "hair-fortunate" thanks to my father's side. Both he and my grandfather had full heads of hair until they died at about eighty. My wife's father was completely bald; let's see how our son will fare in the hair lottery...

Grass never grew on a busy street is all I can say. Defensive. me? Nah!

Thanks to my brother (12 years my elder), I like to think I know exactly what will happen with my hair in the years to come...(so far so good - whew!)

If you had large bare spots, you would know that answer.

I don't think the hair thing for guys is as big as it used to be. A lot of people where their hair real short or even completely shaved and it doesn't seem to affect them with women.

btw, I'm glad you didn't defer to Don regarding blogging about women's hair. That seemed to cause trouble last time. ;)

Whatever works aesthetically works for me. I lean natural.
