Keurig With Attitude

I often wonder about the "personalities" of machines and other inanimate objects.

We have a Keurig coffee maker at home. A few weeks after we bought it, it started acting funny. By "funny" I mean that it never gave you the amount of coffee that you asked for. Regardless of the button you pushed -- for a small, medium, or large cup of coffee, it gave you the amount it wanted to give, usually a small cup. I just got used to going through the process twice (using the same pod) for the amount of coffee that I wanted. For whatever reason, we never returned it.
Last weekend, we saw the demonstration of a competitor's coffee maker. Same idea as Keurig but different pods and unlike our Keurig, this one also makes espresso and cappuccino. And it made good coffee. And it was on sale.
So we took one home but decided to use up our supply of Keurig pods before opening the new machine.
Wouldn't you know that the Keurig seems to be working fine. I'd almost say that it lost its attitude for fear of being replaced. But that's too silly.

In our house our Keurig also has personality and lots of power. I vote for keeping your Keurig and returning the competitor.

Love things on sale. A good blog topic!

I love my Keurig, personality and all! Talking nice to it works also. Maybe all these computerized machines are getting too "smart".

I have seen these and enjoyed cups but I prefer to make more coffee since my daily rations exceeds that amount. Sometimes I blend decaf and regular.

We did return the competitor but exchanged it for a brand new next generation Keurig (also on sale)-
So far good attitude...

Keurig company is aware of their product's "attitude" so they have a trade-in program...and you-tube videos to explain how to "make nice"

My trusty Keurig that I used in the city developed an "attitude" that would not abate. My husband became so frustrated that he refused to bring it to Albany. Good to know about the trade in program.

When my Keurig developed an attitude, we called Keurig. They sent a brand new one. All we had to do was send back a small piece of the old Keurig.

I quit caffeine about six years ago. Very liberating, but I had a non-stop headache for about three months.
