A new book publisher

I know you're on the edge of our seat wondering what he will do after baseball. Well wonder no more...Derek Jeter is starting a book publishing imprint company called "Jeter Publishing" in partnership with Simon & Schuster. Apparently all his time on the disabled list last season had him thinking about life after sports.

It must be difficult for athletes who spend their entire lives playing sports to, one day, not being able to play and still be young. Although Derek turns 40 in June...not so young.

His company will be publishing nonfiction books for adults, like biographies and titles on business and lifestyle; children's picture books; middle-grade fiction; and books for children who are learning to read. The first book to be published is entitled "Derek Jeter guide to baseball."

This got me wondering what I will do after marketing...

What do you think?

Derek sure has left his imprint on the Baseball record book!

It only matters if Derek's brand offers good content. Celebrity and a good rep only last while put to good use.
Mitch, as long as your talent persist, no life after marketing exists for you. My sense remains that the skills that diminish on the physical side concerning sports pose no limit to what you currently do. Sorry...... :)
