Snap Shot Artist

Categories
City Blogs

I have become a snap shot artist with the advent of my iPhone 5 which has a far better camera than my old Blackberry.

I fancy myself not so much an artist as a shutter bug. Someone who seizes the advantage of having the instant ability to see a picture in my mind's eye and take it "in the moment". A perfect everyday example is above.

What's more, with Facebook I have the ability to instantaneously broadcast it to my world and then view "Likes" and approving comments. It doesn't get much better than that!

Just call me Weegee...

P.S. You should also post or link to the pic on FB on Gotham.

I believe in repetition (in a good way) and even some redundancy. Is that not why commercials get slotted multiple times?

I recently bought a nice camera for my wife as an anniversary present. We took it on our trip last week to California, where we drove down the coast on US-1, unbelievable views. I noticed there was an internal battle going on.. my wife couldn't decide whether to use the iphone or the new camera for any given shot. Even though the new one takes vastly better pictures, the instant uploadability of the iphone often proved too tempting to pass up!
