Every time I go on my Facebook page there’s a new notification waiting for me; will I give a life to a friend or relative playing Candy Crush? There is also usually a notification that a friend has surpassed a certain level in the game.

My kids and friends all talk about the game. They offer to give one another lives and anything else they may need. Numerous times they have asked me to play too. And while I love their spirit of cooperation and desire to get me involved, I’m afraid to do so. I don’t think I want to get as caught up in the game as everyone around me appears to be.
