You deserve one

It's a sign of acknowledgment, a job well done or a friendly expression of love. If you need one you might want to head over to Ireland where more than 800 students at an Irish school gave each other pats on the back to break a Guinness World Record.

Pats on the back

824 students from Willow Park, Blackrock College, and St. Andrew's College formed a chain on the front lawn of Blackrock College this last Thursday and exchanged pats on the back. It was for a good cause serving as a fundraiser for charity Dogs for the Disabled.

Officials said they are submitting evidence from the attempt to Guinness World Records for official recognition. I say "Good for you!"

A pat on the back is often more appreciated than money.

Nice job , way to go , good one ..... verbal pats on the back . The literal or physical pat on the back accompanied by a wink and or a smile . No touching though . Touching can be misconstrued . “ He patted me on the back !” I digress . Everybody needs recognition for a job well done . Except me . It’s like Gotham says “ it’s better to give than receive ! “ I’ve given numerous pats on the back in my day . Haven’t gotten many back . I don’t care because giving is way better than receiving .

A “pat on the back” is something we should all be doing more often. It’s impact should not be undervalued.

A kind word or a pat on a back can add so much to one's day.
