Annual Eye Exam
On Monday I underwent my annual eye examination.
It is always a pleasant experience, as my doctor is a fellow Roslyn High School graduate, Leslie Goldberg. Leslie is a World Class ophthalmologist and even a better person, making this doctor's office visit something to look forward to.
Being who I am, I was apprehensive as to the condition of my eyes and being competitive, I tried so hard to see and recognize those little letters.
I’m happy to report that my eyes are just about the same as last year and Leslie gave me a clean bill of health (eyes are both windows into the soul and early indicators of possible medical conditions).
Thank you Leslie for allowing me to continue to keep my eye on the ball!

My only challenge is that she can see a crumb on the carpet four feet away and wants to go pick it up. #NoFallingPlease .

The dreaded FAA First Class Physical . Every 6 months for 50 years . It was you bet your job twice a year . As pilots it was a necessary pain in the ass. As I got older my eyes got slower. Rather than deal with glasses I just memorized the eye chart .

was the 20/20/ line . Done . Passed. I mean seriously ? An EKG twice a year ? Blood work twice a year ? Does everybody feel safe ? So I cheated on my eye test . Big deal . I could fly that big piece of tin blindfolded . You can take that to the bank .
